kai founder gaye straza rappaport spent her youth vacationing in hawaii, and always wanted to recapture the island fragrances. the result is kai, an intoxicating blend of white exotics that will transport you instantly to your own tropical paradise.
rappaport launched the fragrance in 1998, and it was originally sold out of her boutique in malibu, california. she later sold the boutique, but the demand for the fragrance was so great that she decided to produce it on a full-time basis.
since then, the kai product line has developed a high-profile fan base that includes a wide range of devotees from celebrities to executives to fashion editors, and appeals to all age groups. |
